Our cottage and site are ideally located - a minute’s drive from the picturesque market town of Kirkby Lonsdale where you will find an abundance of pubs, restaurants and lovely independent shops. The famous Devil’s Bridge is also found in Kirkby Lonsdale, positioned on the beautiful river Lune, along with Ruskin’s View, where you can take in the breathtaking panoramic view of the Lune Valley. A ten-minute drive will take you to pretty, little Ingleton, North Yorkshire. Here there are many marvellous natural wonders to explore. In Ingleton you will find amazing mountains, caves and waterfalls. There is the incredible Waterfall Trail where you can marvel at the mighty waterfalls and White Scar Caves where you will discover the largest cave chamber in the country. Kendal is a 25-minute drive away from our cottage and site. Here you will find supermarkets, shops, pubs and restaurants. There are many historic buildings – including the castle; there's a museum and a lovely river walk. Windermere is a 35-minute drive away. There is so much to do here! There are many lovely shops to amble around, pubs, restaurants, walks, boat trips and lots of activities to take part in on the lake itself. Other picturesque market towns that are based in the Yorkshire Dales, that are well worth a visit, include Settle, Skipton and Hawes. Things to do with the kids…
